Whenever my sister and I go camping, it is guaranteed to rain. One year we thought we would go to Writing-on-Stone in southern Alberta where the annual rainfall is second lowest in the province. We pulled our trailers to the park and proceeded to explore the Hoodoos and float down the river. However, once again a huge rainstorm found us. We were waiting out the storm in our trailer when my brother-in-law ran back to their trailer. Shortly after he left, we heard a huge gust of wind followed by a crash. I was sent to investigate and found my brother-in-law sitting on the ground, holding his head. The wind had picked up the awning and dropped it on him just as he passed underneath. Interestingly, everyone I know seems to have a story about a rogue trailer awning that has “Attacked”.
