To hikers, there is nothing better than summiting a mountain and enjoying the amazing views. This was our plan when we set off to summit Pinto Mountain, near Invermere, BC. We were expecting a spectacular unobstructed vista across the Rockies to the east and the Columbia Valley / Purcell Mountains to the west. After two hours of hiking up the 960m elevation gain, we managed to climb right into a thick dense cloud and the only views we got were of each other. Hiking is always full of unexpected results and often is about the journey with each other rather than the scenery.
